Lowe's, just FWIW [View all]

I bought an heirloom Red Beefsteak the other day at Lowe's. It came in a Bonnie Plants biodegradable container. I've planted many plants before that came in this type container so I know the drill. I cut the bottom of it off just before putting it in the ground that evening. The root ball was clung to the bottom pretty good and in separating the bottom from the rest of the conatainer I took most of the roots with it. I thought I'd put it in the ground anyway. This morning I found most of the plant laying sideways on the ground. I thought it probably wouldn't make it so I decided to dig it up and take it back to Lowe's to get another one since the store is less than two miles away from my home. I first took it to the garden shop but was told to take it to Cust Svc to get a refund. I did, and not a bit of trouble.

I had heard Lowe's will refund most garden shop items in less than 90 days as long as you have the receipt but I never had tried them out before. Just wanted to pass along the info.
