12. Of the two Adamses, I'd take John Quincy over John

John Quincy wasn't a great president(though I do respect his willingness to finance an expedition to the center of the Earth to find and defeat the Mole Men), but he had an exemplary post-presidential career, serving as a member of Congress 'til his death, representing the Amistad defendants in court, and speaking out heroically in his last years against the U.S. conquest of more than half of Mexico's territory.

I can picture Barack Obama doing something like that with the rest of his life.

Or perhaps Michelle will do it if he decided to just chill and sneak out for the occasional "half-smoked".

Good question. I'm guessing it's John Adams since he was a friend and close contemporary of Jefferson Rhiannon12866 Feb 2017 #8
