It’s the sequel to The Music of Bees which was a lovely book. The author does a wonderful job of weaving the lives of strangers together in the most interesting way. People that are grieving or struggling and finding their way through the messiness of living. These stories take place in Hood River, OR where the author lives and keeps bees herself. I came across Garvin’s book Crow Talk before the Music of Bees, and could not put that down. Again, she masterfully brings together strangers from all walks of life in a way that feels authentic and possible. I would describe all of her work as uplifting but not sappy or trite. Highly recommend.

Hope all is well with you, neighbor.
