i was at an event with the mother's sister in this case. i wish i knew how to reach her and let her know how much i hope for her and her family that the healing can begin now that this is over.

but with the appeals process, sadly, it probably won't be over for years and years, so let me rephrase that. i hope they gain some peace with this verdict and sentence.
