These are the MLB team batting average leaders as of June 15th, 2026:

🔹Los Angeles Dodgers .262
🔹San Francisco Giants .258
🔹Tampa Bay Rays .257
🔹Milwaukee Brewers .255
🔹Atlanta Braves .254
🔹Colorado Rockies .253
🔹Pittsburgh Pirates .252
🔹Athletics .250
🔹Toronto Blue Jays .250
🔹Washington Nationals .247

The Dodgers are the best team in baseball. Their batting average is the best in the league. Makes sense.
The San Francisco Giants are 29-43. Dead last in the NL West. One of the most disappointing teams in baseball this season. And they have the second-best team batting average in all of MLB.

How? Jung Hoo Lee is hitting .331 and had an MLB-leading hitting streak with 18. Luis Arraez is hitting .319. Matt Chapman is absolutely raking in June. Casey Schmitt is on pace for 30 home runs. And somehow, none of it is translating into wins at the rate it should.

That's baseball. You can hit the cover off the ball and still lose. You can lead the entire sport in contact and sit 15 games under .500. The Giants are living, breathing proof of that contradiction every single night.
