1. I am an atheist.

I do not believe in God - or more to the point, whether God exists or not is irrelevant to how I live my life. So I really don't give the whole idea of his/her existence much thought.

That being said, I am equally offended by those who say "do you still believe in the Sky God" as those who say "have you accepted Jesus as your lord and saviour". It is prostletizing either way, an effort to win people over to one way of thinking.

I believe (or disbelieve, as the case may be). I have no need to have my beliefs validated by anyone - I have no compulsion to be persuaded by others that I am somehow superior to those of true faith, those whose beliefs are different from my own.

Insisting that those who believe in a higher being are somehow inferior to those who believe otherwise is cult-like behaviour.

I think we've had enough of that bullshit.
