When reading more about Angela Stanton the artist (previously unknown to me) who painted the picture that I had found that I thought captured the feeling of light breaking through after a long darkness, I found that she painted "Winter Sun" with NORWAY in mind

Also learned that not only is she an artist, but a scientist as well. She studies migraine.

Thus, again, I’m reminded of CP Snow's prescient "Two Cultures" (lecture, and subsequent book) which addressed the worrisome gap developing between the arts and sciences. Now, some sixty years on, this gap has only grown until it is a chasm separating creative people by mutual misunderstanding and incomprehension.

The world so needs for all creative people to work together if we are to leave a decent world for the future. Dramatic reductions in the burning of fossilized sunlight, as the Norwegians are doing, is a strong move forward.
