MSNBC announced Friday it will launch a new show, “Saturday Night Politics with Donny Deutsch,” as part of the network's expansion of weekend programming.

Deutsch will feature an interview with South Bend, Ind., Mayor Pete Buttigieg, a 2020 Democratic contender, on his inaugural show Saturday.

Deutsch is most often seen on the network's "Morning Joe" with Joe Scarborough and Mika Brzezinski.

The 61-year-old Queens, N.Y. native is a staunch critic of President Trump, often leveling personal attacks on him. During a recent roundtable discussion on the show, Deutsch mocked the president's appearance, calling him one of the most "repulsive physically-looking humans I’ve ever seen."
