Carney, Poillevre support U.S. action against Iranian regime - CBC News [View all]
Prime Minister Mark Carney spoke at the Canada-India Growth and Investment Forum in Mumbai, addressing the recent U.S.-Israel strikes on Iran. Carney expressed support for the strikes to prevent Iran from 'obtaining a nuclear weapon' and curb its threats to global security. Conservative Leader Pierre Poilievre also strongly expressed strong support for the operation, calling for Iran’s 'clerical military dictatorship' to be toppled. - 03/01/2026.
