13. NBC reported this evening that the UFC will be a Rain Or Shine event.

Now, I'm looking at the partial pavilion they erected and it sure doesn't seem really secure against a good blowing thunderstorm or even just a good hard rain. To be seated along the outer edges will be an adventure in itself. Then add in 125,000 spectators who will be sharing 500 porta-a-potties that have been percolating in the hot sun all day...Oh Joy! Oh Joy!

I'm not interested in the fights themselves, but might just tune in to see the aesthetics of dealing with the venue. This could be a real knee-slapper to see how the attendees - especially the D.C. ladies in all their finery - navigate a potentially stinky, sloppy night outside.
