Beautiful but windy day in Northern Michigan... [View all]

Nice day to make fertilizer out of the Russian Comfrey growing out back.

Tons of info can be found online about comfrey. I use it in all its forms …I’ll take single leaves and lay it around the heavy feeders. As the leaves break down it is a direct feed. I take some leaves and stems, chop up and marinate in some water for a few weeks. Liquid fertilizer. We usually get about 5 flushes of plant, later in the summer I chop it up and dry for use in the winter grows. I just put the mower on bag and mow it down then dry that mixture.
